The Republican Party or elements of the party are spreading rumors, etc. about Death Panels, etc. An example of this is the people staffing the State of Iowa Republican Party booth at the recent Iowa State Fair. They continue to say that the federal government is not capable of running a heath insurance plan, etc. When Medicare, the VA Health System, the Federal Employee Health System, etc. there is only silence. When the topic of allowing a Public Option is mentioned there is the standard response the government will put all of the insurance companies out of business, etc. When are we the people or the party going to step forward and make the case for truth and reality. We already have rationing of health care (pre-approval by your insurance company), approved lists of doctors you can see, approved lists of medications you are allowed to take. If you have a pre-existing condition or can't afford medical insurance you are already impacted. Isn't a system that eliminated some of this better?
